Investigation Launched into Chief of US Armed Forces Command: AP
Investigators from the US Department of Defense have launched an investigation into General Michael Kurilla, the head of the US Armed Forces Central Command. This information was reported by the Associated Press, citing sources.
The general is suspected of pushing another service member.
According to Military.com, the incident occurred earlier this month aboard a C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft heading to Israel. The general reportedly expressed frustration over communication issues, leading to a confrontation with crew members, during which he pushed one of them.
The general continues to lead the command, which primarily oversees operations in the Middle East.
The Army's criminal investigation division stated that it is "aware of the alleged incident and is currently looking into it." The division confirmed to reporters from The Washington Post that the inquiry pertains to Kurilla.
