As a result of the flooding, many stores in Valencia have run out of food and water. According to TASS, the city center of Valencia has not been affected by the flooding, but the suburbs of this autonomous community in Spain have suffered significant damage.

After the devastating blow of the disaster, many local residents have begun to actively purchase food from the stores, which have already been emptied. RT, citing a local resident, reports that authorities did not evacuate residents. The urban dwellers were only warned that rain is expected for another week.

It is noted that such a scale of flooding was unexpected for locals, which is why they did not rush to leave. “Now it's almost impossible to leave Valencia. The roads are blocked, and there is no electricity in homes,” a resident reported.

According to media reports, at least 155 people have died as a result of the flooding.
