Video: Opposition Protest March Begins in Tbilisi

A protest march organized by the opposition has commenced in the center of Tbilisi. The results of the parliamentary elections have not satisfied the Georgian opposition. The protesters, the majority of whom are young people, have gathered near Tbilisi State University and intend to reach the parliament building located on Rustaveli Avenue, where a large opposition rally took place the day before.

At the same time, the number of participants in today's event has significantly decreased compared to yesterday's demonstration. The gathered individuals are waving the flags of Georgia and the European Union, along with placards featuring pro-European slogans. The march is being monitored by police, and so far, the protest has proceeded without incidents.

It is noteworthy that after counting the ballots, the ruling party “Georgian Dream” won the elections, securing 53.93% of the votes. Four opposition parties also made it to parliament, collectively garnering 37.78% of the votes.
