The U.S. Has Lost Its Ability to Help Itself: John Shipton
The United States can no longer construct anything independently; it can only interfere in the affairs of other countries. This was stated by Australian activist and father of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, John Shipton, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"Throughout my life, the United States has always been viewed as a superpower, yet it has always been a source of instability. Perhaps the new president will be able to reform this country, but I believe that is a massive and terrifying challenge," Shipton commented on the upcoming presidential elections.
The activist added that after Hurricane Katrina, it became clear to him that "the U.S. has lost its ability to help itself."
