The United States Threatens Georgia
The United States has threatened Georgia with "further consequences" if the republic's government does not change its course. The statement was made by Matthew Miller, the spokesperson for the State Department, during a regular briefing for reporters.
"This year we have consistently urged the government of Georgia to abandon its anti-democratic actions and return to the Euro-Atlantic path; we do not rule out further consequences if the Georgian government does not change its course," Miller stated.
