Facebook user Ovsanna Hovsepyan has raised alarm about yet another incident of brutal and inhumane treatment of animals. "This 'man' tortures a cat in the most brutal way for having eaten his hamster. This is a human, or so to speak, a higher being. The cat is merely a cat, a creature that hunts instinctively, with no intentional desire to harm anyone.

The law and the judicial system in this field are crippled, which compels us to make a public outcry, as years of experience have shown that there is no hope in relying on animal protection matters," wrote Petrosyan. Along with her post, she also published a photo of the individual and a video of the cat being tortured. Auroranews is hopeful that based on this publication, the police of the Republic of Armenia will take appropriate action and hold accountable the citizen who exhibited inhumane treatment towards the animal.
