UN Security Council to Hold Meeting on Israeli Strikes in Iran
The United Nations Security Council will hold a meeting on Monday at 23:00 Yerevan time regarding the Israeli strikes directed at Iran, announced the Swiss mission to the organization.
"On Monday, October 28, at 15:00 (23:00 Yerevan time)," the mission informed reporters.
It was also noted that the request for the meeting was made by Iran, with Algeria, China, and Russia supporting the initiative.
On Saturday night, the Israel Defense Forces announced that they had struck Iranian military targets in response to attacks on the Jewish state on October 1.
CBS News, citing its sources, reported that the Israeli strikes on Iran were limited to military targets and did not extend to nuclear or oil facilities.
According to IRNA, none of Iran's oil production facilities sustained damage.
