Saakashvili's Party Rejects Election Results
The "United National Movement," a party founded by former President Mikheil Saakashvili, does not recognize the results of the parliamentary elections held in Georgia. This was announced during a press briefing by the party's leader, Tinatin Bokuchava.
“On behalf of the United National Movement, we declare that we do not accept the election results, and we are not going to recognize these stolen election results,” stated Bokuchava.
Opposition coalition leader Nika Gvaramia, during his own press briefing, expressed that his party does not recognize the data from the Central Election Commission, which indicates that the ruling party, "Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia," has gained a majority in parliament. “The elections have been stolen; this is a constitutional coup,” declared Gvaramia.
