Former Republican Party MP and Family Members Summoned by the Prosecutor General's Office
The former member of the National Assembly from the Republican Party, Hovhannes Sahakyan, and his family members have been summoned by the Prosecutor General's Office regarding the division of illegally obtained assets.
This information was reported by the official announcements website, "Azdarar." According to the notification, on October 31, Sahakyan, along with his parents Misha Sahakyan and Nora Manukyan, and his wife Ruzanna Grigoryan, are required to appear before the office to understand the materials related to the investigation of their owned properties and to express their position on the matter.
Hovhannes Sahakyan served as an MP from 2009 to 2016. He was also the secretary of the Republican Party faction, the chair of the temporary committee on ethical issues in the National Assembly, and the chair of the permanent commission on legal affairs of the National Assembly. Sahakyan held the position of head of the State Social Security Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia from 2017 to 2018.
