VIDEO: Turkey Strikes PKK Targets in Syria and Iraq
The Turkish Air Force has targeted locations in northern Syria and Iraq, reportedly killing "many" PKK militants and destroying at least 32 targets, according to TRT Haber, a state television channel. Footage shared on Telegram shows the Kurdish town of Tel Rifaat in northern Syria being bombarded overnight by the Turkey-backed 'Sultan Murad' group with support from Turkish airstrikes.
Earlier, a terrorist attack in Ankara resulted in five fatalities and 22 injuries. Turkish authorities attribute the attack to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which is banned in Turkey.
