Government Response to Scandalous Post by Former Minister of Defense
Today, various media outlets, particularly those from Azerbaijan, are circulating photographs from the BRICS summit that appear to be digitally altered. The images feature Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan seated next to an Azerbaijani flag.
Since Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev were sitting next to each other, it was possible to capture angles that may confuse the public at first glance.
Former Minister of Defense Arshak Karapetyan took to his Facebook page to share these widely circulated photos from the internet. In response, Taron Chakhoyan, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, commented, “The general who fled the country has published a fake photo of the Prime Minister while playing the patriot in Moscow. This is everything you need to know about our modern-day saviors, who are begging some secretary in Moscow with crooked necks for 'dabra.' They are saving the homeland with Photoshop. Just as the published photo is fake, so are they.”
