Armenia Joins the e-CMR System
Armenia has joined the e-CMR system, which implies a safer and more efficient process for freight transportation.
Last week, the digital protocol of the "Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road" came into effect in Armenia, establishing a legal framework for the completely paperless transportation of goods within the country, according to a statement from the press service of the International Road Transport Union.
Armenia becomes the 39th country to join the e-CMR system. Transitioning from paper-based freight transportation to a fully digital process is expected to enhance the efficiency and safety of freight transport throughout Armenia and ultimately to neighboring countries.
By eliminating paperwork, e-CMR reduces unloading costs, removes administrative delays related to invoices, and minimizes discrepancies at delivery points. Furthermore, e-CMR improves transparency and security across the entire supply chain, providing delivery data in a more streamlined manner.
