This is a Historic Event, Says Maduro

The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has described his visit to Kazan for the BRICS summit as a historic event.

“We have come to this historic summit. It is the first time that a President of Venezuela has personally attended a meeting of BRICS leaders. In the past, we participated at the levels of foreign affairs, economy, communication, and culture ministers,” Maduro told reporters.

It is notable that the BRICS summit is taking place in Kazan, scheduled from October 22 to 24.
