Alen Simonyan on His and Pashinyan's Ratings
“I do not have a rating; my rating is that of the CP and Nikol Pashinyan. I do not consider my rating low; on the contrary, I believe it is high because when asked, people mentioned my name without any prompt,” said Alen Simonyan, the Speaker of the National Assembly, during a conversation with journalists in the parliament, responding to a question about a recent survey conducted by an international organization in which only 2 percent of respondents trusted him.
“Furthermore, I am generally opposed to the notion of 'my rating.' My rating falls within the scale of Nikol Pashinyan’s trust and that of the 'Civil Contract' party. I am pleased that due to our collective work, we represent the top three positions—myself, the Prime Minister, and Ararat Mirzoyan—as part of the same team. In some respects, we do have separate ratings, but all of this is tied to one team, one party, and our Prime Minister's ratings.”
“Please do not separate me; I do not have a separate rating; my rating is essentially that of the 'Civil Contract' and Nikol Pashinyan,” said Simonyan.
