Details on the Major Accident That Occurred Today

It has been reported that a major road accident occurred in the Tavush province. The Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service is providing details about the incident. On October 19, at 12:30 PM, the National Crisis Management Center received information that a road traffic accident (RTA) had taken place near the village of Aghavnavank in Tavush province, and there are casualties.

A firefighting and rescue team from the provincial rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was found that two vehicles had collided at the beginning of the village of Teghut: a 'Vaz' (driver D. G., born in 1971) and a 'Mercedes-Benz' (driver A. S., born in 1983).

Before the arrival of the rescuers, passengers in the 'Mercedes-Benz' vehicle, S. Y. (born in 1970) and H. Y. (born in 1966), were transported to a medical center. The rescuers approached the driver of the 'Vaz' vehicle, M. G. (born in 1969), and the passenger of the 'Mercedes-Benz', L. M. (born in 1984), to the ambulance; the injured were hospitalized in a medical center.

The rescuers have disconnected the vehicles and turned off the gas cylinder valves.
