The Deputy Director of the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center, Gagik Surenyan, made a post on social media.

“The Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center informs that due to the penetration of an active cyclone from the West, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in most regions of the republic on the evening of October 16 and on the 17th, continuing into the night of the 17th into the 18th. The air temperature will gradually drop across the entire territory of the republic on October 17-19, by approximately 6-9 degrees compared to today. Due to heavy precipitation, a significant increase in water levels is expected in most rivers of the republic on October 17-18,” he wrote.
