Gagik Surenyants Discusses Upcoming Weather

Starting today, we are firmly moving toward deep autumn. This was announced on Facebook by Gagik Surenyants, deputy director of the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.

In the territory of Armenia, rain and thunderstorms are expected in various regions during the night of October 15 and after noon, while rain and thunderstorms will be present intermittently on October 14 and 16-18 in significant parts of the regions, according to the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia.

The wind will be northwesterly at 2-5 m/s,with stronger gusts of wind expected during thunderstorms at speeds of 16-20 m/s. The air temperature will decrease by 2-4 degrees during the day on October 14,” the statement said.

In Yerevan, rain and thunderstorms are expected during the night and evening hours of October 15. Rain and thunderstorms are forecasted intermittently for October 14 and 16-18, with wind gusts expected at speeds of 15-18 m/s during thunderstorms.
