I Am Ready to Die with Putin, Says Steven Seagal
The American action film star, aikido master, and special representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry for humanitarian relations between Russia and the USA, Steven Seagal, has stated that at the start of the special military operation initiated by Russia in Ukraine, he wrote a letter to President Vladimir Putin, expressing his willingness to die for him and for Russia.
"I was in the Middle East, teaching people Eastern martial arts. I learned that a special operation had started (Russia in Ukraine). The next day I wrote a letter and made sure it would likely reach the president," Seagal said in his film 'For Justice.'
He emphasized that in the letter he expressed support for the Russian president and noted that now Russia would see who the real patriots are, who are friends, and who are enemies.
"I will be with my president, fight alongside my president, and if necessary, I will die with my president," the actor quoted himself as saying in his letter to the Russian leader.
Actor Steven Seagal obtained Russian citizenship in 2016 and became a special representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in 2018.
