Iran's Ambassador to Turkey Threatens Israel
The Iranian ambassador to Turkey, Mohammad Hasan Habibollahzadeh, has threatened Israel with a forceful response in the event of a potential attack, according to the Turkish newspaper Sabah.
“From this point on, the era when Iran adhered to restraint is over. If the Zionist regime attacks Iran, it will receive a harsh military response. Iran is not the country that wishes for war to spread. We want a ceasefire established in Lebanon and Palestine, but on the condition that the rights of these countries and their populations are protected,” the ambassador is quoted as saying by the newspaper.
Habibollahzadeh noted that Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is expected to visit Ankara, where he will hold talks within the framework of the “3+3” platform for the South Caucasus. The ambassador reminded that the third meeting of the participants in this format (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, Iran, Turkey, Georgia) is planned to be held in Turkey.
It is worth mentioning that on October 1, Iran carried out massive missile strikes against Israel for the second time in history, labeling it a self-defense operation. Israeli military officials stated that approximately 180 ballistic missiles were launched, most of which have been intercepted. According to Israeli authorities, there were no casualties among citizens resulting from the strikes. Several media outlets reported one death in the Gaza Strip.
