Are There Quadrupeds in Armenia? Lavrov to Mirzoyan
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov inquired whether there are indeed quadrupeds in Armenia. Ahead of a meeting in the Kremlin between Nikol Pashinyan and Vladimir Putin, Lavrov discussed with his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, and the Armenian ambassador to Russia, Gurgen Arsenyan, the phenomenon of children walking like dogs, which has become widespread.
“Are there quadrupeds in your country? Children wear dog masks. This is now one of the main news stories. They walk like dogs,” said Lavrov. A segment of the conversation was shared on Russian Telegram channels.
Mirzoyan confirmed that he is aware of the quadruped movement, referring to it as new. For his part, Gurgen Arsenyan stated that in Europe, quadrupeds already identify themselves as a “gender.”
Since the beginning of the year, discussions surrounding quadrupeds have gained significant traction on social media. This is a new subculture that is prevalent among children and teenagers. Their main characteristic is the imitation of animal behaviors, wearing masks, and animal-themed clothing. It raises questions about what is unusual: they may act aggressively towards passersby or real animals. Thus, where is the boundary when innocent childhood amusement turns into deviant behavior?
