VIDEO: Israel Continues to Bomb Lebanon, New Data
Massive destruction has been reported in the southern suburbs of Beirut following Israeli strikes in the morning. This was reported by RT, citing information from the Palestinian Quds news agency.
Earlier, the Lebanese government stated that more than 2,000 residents have died since the escalation of the conflict due to the strikes from Israel.
Israel launched about 20 strikes on areas adjacent to Beirut's airport during the night. The latest escalation began after massive explosions of communication facilities in various regions of Lebanon on September 17 and 18, which resulted in dozens of casualties, with around 3,000 citizens injured.
Subsequently, Israeli aviation struck a residential building in the southern suburbs of Beirut, leading to the deaths of over 50 people, including Ibrahim Akil, the commander of Hezbollah's special operations forces.
In response, fighters from the Shia resistance targeted Israeli Air Force’s Ramath David base and the Rafael defense industry complex located north of Haifa. Several rockets exploded in residential neighborhoods on the outskirts of the Israeli city.
