Israel Refuses to Guarantee It Will Not Strike Iran, Says U.S.
A U.S. State Department official has stated that Israel has refused to provide guarantees that it will not strike Iran's nuclear facilities in response to a large-scale missile attack. This was reported by CNN.
According to the senior State Department representative, it is currently difficult to say whether Israel will refrain from launching retaliatory actions on the anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attack.
“We hope and expect to see wisdom and strength, but as you know, there are no guarantees,” the official said in response to a CNN question about whether Israel assured the U.S. that Iranian nuclear facilities would not be targeted.
Earlier, U.S. President Joe Biden stated that the U.S. would not support Israeli actions against Iran’s nuclear program.
