According to Ajapahyan, Who Are the Reasons for Bagrat Bishop's Failure

Former presidents must leave. The reason for Bagrat Bishop's failure is them. This was stated by Archbishop Mikhail Ajapahyan, the leader of the Shirak Diocese, in an interview with NEWS.am.

When asked if it is impossible to step back halfway if one sees that things are not working out, Mikhail Bishop responded, "I believe, yes, something must change, but Bagrat Bishop must address this. I have hinted at all these months about the reasons for his specific failures. Now I can perhaps state more openly. The main reason is the shadow and ghost of the former presidents. Bagrat Bishop cannot free himself from those ghosts, and the authors of those ghosts must announce their departure and actually leave. The salvation of the homeland requires this, and if they do not do it, then they are not thinking about the salvation of the homeland, they are thinking about returning to power or, as it were, maintaining the power of the opposition."

He stated that the second and third presidents must leave the political arena: "Sober logic and calculations demand this. If they do not know this, it means they do not understand anything. The second president and his son must announce and actually leave. The same goes for the third president; he must let go of this Republican Party. Just as he entered accidentally, he must exit just as accidentally. Otherwise, nothing is possible."

"Because of their mistakes, the overwhelming majority of the people do not want to hear their names. They must understand that," Mikhail Bishop emphasized, adding, "but they do the opposite, trying to create the impression for Bagrat Bishop that nothing can be done without us; they control the resources."

Mikhail Bishop expressed the belief that if former presidents leave the political arena, the struggle will certainly succeed: "It is astonishing that our dear Bagrat Bishop does not have this perception."
