Azerbaijan's President Aliyev: Armenia Should Apologize

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, stated that Armenia should apologize for its actions, claiming that Armenia has failed to provide information regarding the fate of missing persons from the First Nagorno-Karabakh War and the precise locations of mass graves, violating its obligations under international humanitarian law.

“Although the conflict has ended, the heavy consequences of Armenia's decades-long military aggression unfortunately still remain, posing a significant danger to human life and the environment in Armenia, implementing eco-terrorism, urban terrorism, and cultural genocide in our territories. For a long time, under occupation, they polluted and poisoned our lands and rivers, destroyed our forests, devastated our cities and villages, and laid numerous mines that threaten the right of people to live here, while seriously harming the environment. The cultural heritage of our people, which has universal significance, was destroyed, and our religious and cultural monuments were demolished,” Aliyev noted.
