Iran to Avenge Israel: Details from Closed Meeting

The Iranian parliament intends to present its proposals for responding to Israel's actions to the Supreme National Security Council of Iran for a final decision, according to Mehr.

The Iranian parliament held a closed session in which the assassination of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah by Israel was discussed. During the meeting, Iranian lawmakers addressed recent developments in the region.

Ahmad Naderi, a member of the Iranian parliament, informed Mehr that today's closed session was convened to investigate the circumstances surrounding the killings of Nasrallah and several other commanders of the movement. He added that during the meeting, lawmakers proposed recommendations on how to exact revenge on Israel.

The parliament will submit its proposals to the Supreme National Security Council of Iran (SNSC), he said, adding that the SNSC will discuss "ways to choose the best measures against Israel's crimes." On Saturday, the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission also held a meeting concerning the events in Lebanon.
