VIDEO: Emma Poghosyan Becomes Youth World Champion in Weightlifting

18-year-old Emma Poghosyan has emerged as the winner of the Weightlifting Youth World Championship. This information has been reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia.

Competing in the 81 kg weight class in León, Spain, Poghosyan secured the gold medal with a total lift of 233 kg. In the snatch event, Emma achieved a 5th place finish with a lift of 100 kg, while in the clean and jerk, she claimed a small gold medal by successfully lifting 133 kg over her head.

Earlier, Armenian representatives Alexandra Grigoryan and Anna Amroyan had won bronze medals at the Youth World Championships.
