Car Carrying Russian Ambassador Blows Up on Mine in Pakistan
The escort vehicle carrying Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev has detonated on a mine in Pakistan, resulting in injuries to police officers, with no harm to the diplomatic corps. This was reported by the Russian Embassy in Islamabad.
According to the embassy, today the head of the Russian diplomatic mission participated in a conference dedicated to the development of tourism in the Swat Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province as part of a delegation of ambassadors from several countries, organized by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“The escort vehicle exploded on a mine on the road from Mingora city to the hotel. Several police officers were injured. Representatives of the diplomatic corps were not harmed,” the embassy announced on its Telegram channel.
