Explosives in Hezbollah Pages Were Not Detected in Advance: Al Mayadeen

On September 17 in Lebanon, explosives found in pages detonated en masse, and it was not possible to detect them in advance, including through scanners installed at international airports. This was reported by the Lebanese Al Mayadeen television channel on September 18, as noted by RTVI.

According to security sources, "advanced technologies" were used during the explosion which caused the lithium explosion at a certain moment, rather than the batteries of the pages. The channel clarified that at a specific moment, pages used by members of the Hezbollah movement received a specific "special message that caused the device to explode four seconds later, regardless of whether the owner of the pages opened this message or not." At the same time, according to sources, devices that were turned off or out of network coverage did not explode at the time of the explosion.

According to sources interviewed by the channel, a special explosive was placed inside the battery board by agents of the Israeli military intelligence and Mossad's external intelligence service.
