US State Department Comments on Incidents Involving Pager Users in Lebanon

The United States was not involved in the incidents involving pager users in Lebanon and was not previously aware of the events that occurred. This was stated by U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller.

Miller emphasized that Washington is gathering information about the situation, and the White House was not previously informed about what happened. According to him, the United States seeks to find a diplomatic resolution to the conflict between Lebanon and Israel.

Miller also urged Iran not to use any incident or instability in the region to escalate tensions. He added that he had seen reports indicating that the Iranian ambassador was injured during the incident, but without receiving confirmation of the information, he did not commit to evaluating it.
