Suspect in Trump Assassination Plot Threatens to Kill Putin and Kim Jong-un

The suspect in an assassination plot against U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump, Ryan Wesley Ruth, has threatened to kill Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. This was reported on Monday by The Wall Street Journal, which spoke with an American named Chelsea Walsh, who met with Ruth several times in Kyiv in 2022.

Walsh, a nurse who spent a month and a half in Ukraine, expressed serious concern over Ruth's threats of violence. According to Walsh, the American stated that he would like to kill both Putin and Kim Jong-un, while also mentioning Trump and current U.S. President Joe Biden.

In June 2022, Walsh returned to the U.S. and reported her concerns to a customs and border protection officer at Dulles International Airport, not far from Washington. She compiled a list of more than a dozen individuals whose actions she deemed dangerous. "Ruth is at the top of this list," Walsh told the publication. She described his behavior as "predatory" and "antisocial." The State Department had also previously indicated that Ruth could pose a threat to society, being involved in human trafficking and immigration fraud, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Former CIA employee Sarah Adams noted that among volunteers in Ukraine, Ruth was known as a "con artist" and "mentally unstable."
