61 Families Seek to Clarify the Fate of Their Missing Relatives: ICRC

During the first half of 2024, the ICRC received nearly 780 calls and visits at its offices in Yerevan and Goris concerning family separations due to escalations in conflict. The ICRC reports:

“61 families have reached out to us with requests to clarify the fate of their missing relatives and have submitted search requests. A total of 275 verbal, audio-visual, and written messages have been exchanged through the Red Cross among the detained individuals and their families regarding those affected by the conflict. Additionally, the ICRC regularly visits detained individuals to monitor the conditions of their detention and treatment, and to facilitate the maintenance of contact with their relatives,” the statement reads.
