Kobakhidze Thanks Armenia

“Georgia supports peace and stability in the South Caucasus. We are ready to put in our efforts, particularly towards overcoming the existing difficulties in the region,” stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. He also noted that Georgia welcomes the positive progress in resolving the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. “We are also ready to play our part in ensuring stability in the region.”

Kobakhidze expressed gratitude to Armenia for voting in favor of the UN resolution. According to him, strategic cooperation will promote the deepening of relations between the two countries. “I have expressed my gratitude to the Prime Minister of Armenia for voting in favor of the UN resolution regarding the forced displacement and return of the residents from Abkhazia. This decision will contribute to the further strengthening of our bilateral relations. The dynamics of our relationships are very high, and high-level visits are frequent. We must maintain this momentum,” he said.
