US State Department on the Phone Call Between Pashinyan and Blinken
During a conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reaffirmed the importance of sustainable and dignified peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated in a message from State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller.
“Secretary Blinken welcomed the recent progress in the parties' relations, including the agreement on border delimitation,” Miller noted, emphasizing that Blinken “reaffirmed the United States' commitment to ongoing efforts to support a prosperous, democratic, and independent Armenia.”
It has also been reported that Blinken and Pashinyan discussed the expanding Armenia-US relations, including cooperation in energy, trade and investment, as well as education sectors.
