The crime rate has been increasing year by year, said Agnesa Khamaian, a member of the 'Armenia' faction, during the Q&A session with the Government at the National Assembly. 'The citizen of the Republic of Armenia is raising their child in an environment where obtaining drugs has become as easy as getting candy. We have reached a point where an armed criminal is apprehended by an ordinary police officer, while an 18-year-old protester may be taken down by, for example, Haikaz Jomardyan,' the MP stated.

In response to the question, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that an operational investigative team was dispatched, which is his duty. 'Let us acknowledge that the increase in drug trafficking is linked to the mass use of technologies, including the Telegram channels, which is a problem worldwide,' he added and expressed that the criminal subculture continues to be prevalent.

'Do you want to show that there are numerous failures... these failures happen every day; any government is a combination of failures and successes. It is essential that we understand this. We fail every day; I see the failure every day. If you do not see your failures, that is bad, or good – I do not know,' Pashinyan said.
