VIDEO: Who Are the Kidnappers of the Armenian-American Businessman's Wife and What Did They Demand?
On September 4, in Yerevan, kidnappers operating near the "San Marco" swimming pool on the Ashtarak highway demanded $100,000 from the husband of a woman who is the wife of a well-known businessman in the United States.
ArmLur.am has learned that the kidnapper of the Armenian-American businessman’s wife is a friend of hers, known in Kanakerr-Zeytoun as "Kanakertsi Vacho." On September 4, a kidnapping took place in Yerevan under the guise of the National Security Service.
At around 12:10 PM, two individuals wearing clothing with National Security Service insignia approached 55-year-old Lusine M. and, posing as NSS officers, transported her in a BMW to an unknown location.
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the kidnapped woman was found in one of the villages of the Tavush region, while the kidnappers were reported to be at "Zvartnots" airport.
Reports have indicated that there were no signs of struggle on the kidnapped 55-year-old Lusine M. Her husband’s friend held her in an unknown location and demanded money, which the businessman was unable to provide. As a result, law enforcement agencies uncovered the case.
It was also revealed that the businessman even came to Armenia, and it was due to his arrival that law enforcement was able to trace the suspect, who was found to be close to them.
