Video: Armenia Has Sacrificed Its Children in Artsakh, Says Simonyan

“The Armenian government has done as much for Artsakh as no government has done before, which was followed by a treacherous war. The organizers and instigators of that war are well known, and it is inappropriate to blame the authorities for fighting to the end for Artsakh, for waging war until the very end, and for doing everything possible, at least since the elections of 2021, when citizens of Armenia went and gave their assessment,” said MP Alen Simonyan during a press briefing with journalists.

Simonyan also mentioned that Armenia has offered alternatives to the Artsakh authorities. “Armenia has offered its alternatives; it has sacrificed its children there, cut from its people's and state's budget, and ensured the existence of Artsakh with everything—salaries, utility payments, and military support. All of this has been ensured by Armenia,” he added.

He also posed a question: “Why were we fighting and sacrificing? Don’t you understand that the goal was to attack Armenia and capture and destroy it? Do you understand?”
