Mikael has been missing since September 5, and the police of the Mashtots division initiated a search for him. His friends and relatives found his "Lexus" vehicle in the administrative territory of the village of Artsvabrist in Gegharkunik Province, in the forested area by the shore of Lake Sevan, while his clothing was discovered several hundred meters away from the car, on the edge of the lake.
For several days, rescue teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sevan divers, police officers from the Martuni division of Gegharkunik Provincial Police, villagers, and several of his friends conducted search operations, with the involvement of investigators from the Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee and the Martuni investigative division.
