Details of Businessman's Suicide in Bathroom

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has provided details regarding the suicide of businessman Loris Yeghoyan.

"On September 9 at 10:40 AM, the Police Operational Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report that an ambulance crew, dispatched following a call from the Echmiadzin Police Station, had responded to an address in the village of Dghos, where the body of a 38-year-old homeowner, L. Y., was found with a gunshot wound, alongside a pistol.

An investigation has been initiated by the Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia under Articles 162, Part 1, and 335, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.

Preliminary data suggests that at around 10:00 AM on the same day, L. Y. committed suicide in the bathroom of the aforementioned address using a Beretta model pistol. An external examination of the body was conducted, revealing no signs of violence. The apartment where the incident occurred was also examined. Forensic, biogenetic, and ballistics examinations have been ordered. The preliminary investigation is ongoing," the Investigative Committee reported.

It should be noted that L. Y. is the former son-in-law of Arshavir Gharamyan, the former Secretary of the Security Council of Nagorno-Karabakh. According to media sources, he allegedly used a pistol gifted to him by the President of Nagorno-Karabakh to take his own life.
