A pro-Russian hacking network has been uncovered in Poland, working to destabilize the country
A pro-Russian hacking network has been uncovered in Poland, which was operating to destabilize the country. The hacker group, acting on behalf of the intelligence services of Russia and Belarus, had planned cyberattacks against Polish authorities and state-owned enterprises, announced the country's Minister of Digitalization, Krzysztof Gawkowski, as reported by NEXTA.
It was noted that their goals included information theft, blackmail, and cyber warfare. According to the minister, the cyber saboteurs had "penetrated local and central government institutions, including state companies engaged in military contracts." Their operational objective of stealing data for blackmail was thwarted.
