When Will the First Flight to Mars Take Place? Musk
The American company SpaceX will send its first unmanned Starship spacecraft to Mars within two years, coinciding with the next launch window for flights to the 'Red Planet'. This was announced by the company's CEO Elon Musk in a post on X.
“This mission will be unmanned to test the safety of landing on Mars. If these landings proceed successfully, then the first crewed flights to Mars will occur within 4 years,” he wrote. The billionaire has promised that the frequency of flights will increase geometrically, aiming to establish a self-sustaining city on Mars in about 20 years.
