VIDEO. 1 Million People Affected by 'Yagi' Super Typhoon in China
Three people have died and 95 have been injured as a result of the 'Yagi' typhoon in southern China, with over 1.2 million people affected by the disaster zone, reported China's Central Television on Saturday, as relayed by RIA Novosti.
The 'Yagi' typhoon made landfall in Hainan province on Friday and then moved on to Guangdong province, bringing with it stormy winds and heavy rain. The typhoon has caused serious damage to civil infrastructure; many residents in the southern regions are left without electricity, communications have been disrupted, and numerous buildings have been damaged.
