Iran's Capital to Be Relocated to the South
The Iranian authorities plan to relocate the country's capital to the south, near the shores of the Persian Gulf.
According to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, it is no longer feasible to maintain Tehran as the capital due to economic reasons. After selecting a new central location for the capital, all state agencies will be moved there, followed by the opportunity for Tehran residents to relocate as well.
