VIDEO: What Penalties Will Be Imposed for Violating Electric Scooter Regulations

Administrative penalties will be applied for violations in operating electric scooters. In the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly, a draft amendment to the law on ensuring road traffic safety has been discussed.

According to the proposal, the fine for violations will be 5,000 dram, while operating without a helmet will incur a fine of 7,000 dram. If the equipment is not properly configured, rental companies will be fined 29,000 dram. A penalty is also established for transporting passengers or cargo on an electric scooter, which will amount to 10,000 dram.
