Trump Does Not Accept Guilt in 2020 Election Interference Case

Former U.S. President Donald Trump does not admit his guilt in the revised charges brought by prosecutors regarding interference in the 2020 presidential election, American media reported on Thursday.

Trump's attorneys submitted a statement on behalf of the political figure during court hearings in Washington. The former President was not present in the courtroom.

It has been noted that the charges were revised after the U.S. Supreme Court partially supported Trump on the issue of whether he has immunity from prosecution related to the January 6, 2021, riots.

As a result, Trump has been charged on four counts. This includes the use of claims about election fraud that do not correspond to reality to prevent the certification of Democratic candidate Joe Biden's victory in 2020.

The former President has previously stated multiple times that all legal actions against him are politically motivated. American media report that if Trump wins the elections this November, he will likely instruct the Department of Justice to dismiss all the charges against him.
