The Son of the Chief of Police has Seized Community Land: Hetq
Aram Hovhannisyan, who began his career as a militiaman in the Artashat division, saw a rapid rise in prominence after 2018. Shortly after taking on the role of Police Chief in Kotayk, he was appointed Police Chief of Armavir, and later became the Deputy Police Chief. Since 2023, he has held the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Chief of Police. In 2022, upon the recommendation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President Vahagn Khachaturyan awarded Aram Hovhannisyan the rank of Major General of Police.
Alongside his career advancements, the son of Police Chief and Major General Aram Hovhannisyan has privatized a parking area used by the Police and subsequently seized a plot of land belonging to the community in Yerevan, where he conducted illegal construction that was later legalized.
