Dissatisfaction in Georgia: Grape Growers Block Central Kvareli-Lagodekhi Road
Grape sellers from the Kvareli community in Georgia have blocked the central Kvareli-Lagodekhi road. This was reported by aliq.ge.
Traffic was halted for about 20 minutes until the arrival of police.
Participants in the protest stated that there is only one winery operating in the Kvareli district, which pays low prices for the grapes. According to the grape growers, they are paid 1.20 lari per kilogram of saperavi, which does not even cover their expenses.
