VIDEO: "There Are Many Accusations Against HETC" - The Organization Responds to Questions
HETC has been, is, and will remain an organization outside of politics. This was stated by Karen Darbinyan, Vice President of the "Tashir" Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Armenian Electric Networks CJSC, at a press conference today.
Darbinyan addressed the topic of ongoing discussions regarding the numerous accusations against HETC, suggesting they are allegedly directed by the authorities to take control of HETC from the owners.
"We do not engage in politics. I exclude that version. If HETC fails to fulfill its obligations or if it is being boycotted as presented or directed by someone to influence the pre-election period... In reality, if such an atmosphere prevails at HETC, it might happen, but we are outside of politics and are fulfilling our obligations and work," said Karen Darbinyan.
It was also mentioned that in 10 days, work will begin on changing cable lines throughout the center of Yerevan, and all financial resources are available for replacing the cable lines. The situation is not hopeless.
In response to journalists' questions, it was noted that the cables are insufficient, and with the large volume of construction, power outages cannot be avoided. HETC also refuted claims that the government has requested share transfers from them.
