VIDEO: A New Start for the Constitution is Launched Tomorrow, Says Minister

The Minister of Justice, Grigor Minasian, addressed the process of constitutional changes, stating, "This is a new idea, a new thought that we will discuss, and the Council will ultimately decide." He noted that there is a preliminary understanding that the constitutional referendum will take place in 2027.

“What is important until then is that we have quite a normal timeframe to conduct detailed public discussions and work together with the professional community. The Council itself will be involved, as these are people engaged in various projects, allowing them to calmly hire experts for comprehensive analysis. We have questions that we have already voted on and discussed, but we also have enormous work to do. You could say that tomorrow marks a new beginning for the new Constitution and, by the way, the discussion of new ideas,” he added, indicating that specific articles have been proposed for discussion, which may change without a referendum.
