Kindergarten Teacher Allegedly Abused Child in Special Care: New Details

The teacher of Kindergarten No. 48 in Yerevan, who has been accused by a parent of using violence against their child, has submitted a resignation request. It has been reported that the alleged victim was a child in need of special care.

Following a publication by 'Factinfo', the city authorities have launched an investigation. The Yerevan Municipality informed the media that the incident is being examined by the education department of the municipality. While the investigation is ongoing, the teacher has been dismissed from her position.

According to reports, the teacher has officially denied the accusations made by the child's mother, providing a written explanation refuting them, but still opted to resign. It is noted that Masha Matevosyan, who alerted the media, provided photos and claimed that the teacher, Serine Hakobyan, had been violent towards her 3-year-old son who needs special care.

The director of the kindergarten, Marina Amiryan, attributed the child's injuries to self-harm, explaining that the injuries were sustained when the child fell from the bed.
