Iranian Ship Sank in Kuwait: Casualties Reported

The Iranian cargo ship "Ara Bahar-1," with a crew of six, was involved in an accident on September 1, sinking in Kuwait's territorial waters. According to the Mehr news agency, search operations are ongoing for the bodies of three missing crew members.

Nasir Pasandeh, head of the Iranian Maritime Transportation and Ports Organization's Safety and Coastal Protection Department, reported that among the six crew members, there were citizens from both Iran and India. The remains of three individuals have been found, while efforts to locate the bodies of the remaining three continue.

A joint search and rescue operation between Iran and Kuwait commenced at noon on September 1, immediately after receiving information about the incident, according to Pasandeh. Given that three of the crew members are Indian nationals, consultations have been held with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
